Conviva says it has launched Streaming Experience Insights, a new analytics product designed to put video, ad and app performance on a single real-time timeline for every viewer session.
The company says the product, known as SEI, is meant to give publishers a full-census view of what viewers experience from login through playback and ad breaks, including how they find content and how much they watch.
Conviva said the release comes as media companies combine streaming services and faces more pressure to manage larger audiences, more devices and more points of failure.
“Your viewers don’t think in apps, players and ad servers. They judge the whole experience, from the moment they open the app to the final whistle,” said Keith Zubchevich, Conviva president-CEO.
The company said SEI is built to show where viewers encounter problems that can drive churn, including failed logins, app crashes, frozen launches, unfilled ad slots and creative-load failures.
Conviva said the product also gives ad operations teams a way to track fill issues by market, device and ad server while they are happening, while engineering teams can see which devices, models and networks are causing problems before playback begins.
In addition, Viewer Insights links browsing, discovery and navigation inside an app with playback and viewing hours so product and programming teams can see which journeys lead to viewing and where viewers give up before pressing play, Conviva said.
The product is available now to customers and includes access to its analytics agent, Nexa, along with MCP access.
